What a parser sees in your resume

What it checks
How it reads your file
- The file is read on this page with pdf.js, an open-source PDF reader. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is kept.
- Each row is a fixed rule: the headings come from a list of the usual ones, the dates are years and month-years, and the columns come from where the text sits on the first page.
- It says what the software can read, not whether your resume is good. The review reads what each line says.
How we count: text found means at least 50 words; dates are years or month-years, at least two; a font is embedded when its own file is in the PDF; two columns are two blocks of text side by side down more than three tenths of the first page’s height, and the one drawn second is the one read second. Then read what it says
The read check shows what the software sees. A free review reads every line of your resume and says what to fix first.
