Words the posting uses that your resume does not
Paste a job posting and your resume. The check picks out the skill and tool names in the posting and shows which ones your resume uses.
How to read it
- A missing word is a prompt to check, not a verdict. Your resume may say the same thing in other words, and most postings list more than any one person has.
- Names match whatever the case, punctuation or plural, and names of several words match whole: “machine learning”, “CI/CD”. Some other spellings count as the same name: “k8s” is Kubernetes.
- It does not read what you did with each one, or whether the posting requires it or only prefers it. The job fit check does.
How we count: the list holds 447 skill and tool names, each asked for in at least 10 tech roles in the 90 days to Oct 16, 2026, and 782 other spellings of them. Names that every posting uses, such as “Programming”, are left out. Methodology
Then read the whole resume
The words are one part of it. A free review reads every line of your resume and says what to fix first.
